We employ our own vessels for over 25 years for the European wood industry. We meet the challenges of our special navigation area with the know-how and the expertise of the family tom Wörden as a shipowner with a history of over 100 years.
For us, everything revolves around long-term relationships with our business partners and clients. Thanks to the size of our fleet we can meet customer demands for short term flexibility and a well-functioning supply chain.

Services Container
Navalis Shipping arranges the employment of the container tonnage belonging to the Navalis Group and other shipowners for more than 20 years. The long-standing contacts with the major container lines are essential to our success.
In this segment we currently oversee a fleet of 5 ships of 900 to 1200 TEU. Navalis Shipping also supports the shipowners during the sale and purchase of vessels as well as with newbuilding projects.
History
Navalis Shipping was founded in 1995 to support the shipowning activities of Schiffahrtskontor tom Wörden (founded 1911) with its own chartering outfit. Since then, all ships of the shipping group of the family tom Wörden are employed by Navalis Shipping.
A customer network was built with all major forest industry concerns in Northern Europe. Apart from wood products (logs, pulp, paper), we also transport grains, fertilizer, split and other bulk cargoes. The own fleet is contantly modernised and expanded through purchases and newbuildings.
Also in Container shipping, we are active since founding. The container fleet is as well as the Baltic fleet steadily modernised and expanded according to market needs. Several newbuilding projects were contracted in Europe and the Far East. Nowadays, the container ships are employed with renowned charterers worldwide.

Navalis Shipping is internationally represented in three cities: Oldendorf, Hamburg and Riga.
The Navalis Group is headquartered in Oldendorf, as is also the Schiffahrtskontor tom Wörden GmbH & Co. KG and the crewing company manx ocean germany GmbH.
In Hamburg, all sale and purchase as well as chartering activity is coordinated.
The office in Riga is essential for the direct contact to the shippers in Scandinavia and the Baltics. The scheduling for ships transporting of wood products is managed here.

The collaboration with Schiffahrtskontor tom Wörden enables us to react to customer wishes in all aspects surrounding the employment of the vessels. With more than 100 years of experience in technical management of ships, the Schiffahrtskontor tom Wörden disposes over the necessary resources for a smooth operation.
A team of mechanical engineers, welders and electricians is to our disposition in Riga. This enables us to perform larger repairs and maintenance works on the vessels in-house.
